IPadOS beta: Goodbye Mac laptops
I’ve been using the beta of iPadOS and so far it has been an amazing experience. I had switched to my iPad Pro as my main computing device a while back, and even then it worked quite well for me.
But iPadOS really takes it to another level. For example, Slide Over is incredibly useful now in a way that I had not expected. I can have multiple apps open in Slide Over and I just need to pull up from the bottom to see them and switch.
Initially, I did not understand how Slide Over worked. I kept dragging and dropping apps to the Slide Over window, and then didn’t realize I just needed to pull up to see them. It’s amazing how useful it is once you get used to it.
Dark Mode is also fantastic. I waited years for it to finally arrive, and it has not disappointed me. I hated the white glare when using my iPad or iPhone, and now it has mostly gone away with the exception of web pages in Safari.
Apple really needs to add the ability to make web pages dark by default as well. This means white text on…
